NPR's Neda Ulaby reports on the career of television's first big star, Milton Berle, who died yesterday in Los Angeles. Berle spent 88 of his 93 years in show business, including Vaudeville, silent movies and Broadway, before his ground-breaking stint hosting television's first variety show in 1948.
