NPR's Snigdha Prakash reports that three small airlines are about to make their stock debuts. Jetblue, ExpressJet Holdings and Pinnacle Airlines are lowcost, commuter airlines that ferry people from small markets to big hub airports. Smaller airlines can turn a profit because their labor costs are less and they fly smaller planes.
