Baseball Literature

To mark the opening day of the Major League Baseball season, host Lynn Neary talks with Nicholas Dawidoff, author of Baseball: A Literary Anthology {The Library of America; ISBN: 193108209X}. Dawidoff says baseball's familiarity makes it a great subject for American writers, like Damon Runyon, Roger Angell, and Don DeLillo, and allows them to push their craft to new heights.
