Church Bombing Trial

NPR's Debbie Elliott reports that jury selection starts today in Birmingham, Alabama, in a nearly 40-year old murder case that was a focal point of the civil rights movement. Former Ku Klux Klansman Bobby Frank Cherry is the last suspect still living to face charges in the 1963 bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church. The attack killed four black girls and brought the civil rights movement in Birmingham international attention.
