Liane Hansen talks with NPR's Adam Hochberg, who reports that a five-year-old federal anti-terrorism law was used for the first time today. In a North Carolina courtroom, Lebanese immigrant Mohammad Hammoud faced charges of smuggling cigarettes and funneling the profits to Hezbollah. He's the first person tried under a law that prohibits donations to groups the government considers terrorist organizations.
