Host Bob Edwards discusses last night's passage of a major trade bill with Gary Hufbauer, a Senior Fellow at the Institute for International Economics. The Senate bill passed by a substantial 66-to-30 vote, but only after a provision was added to pay billions of dollars in aid added authority to negotiate trade deals, which Congress could approve in office. The bill now goes to a House-Senate conference committe for reconciliation.
