In response to the sex abuse crisis in the Catholic church, many lay Catholics want a bigger role in major decisions affecting their parish. As U.S. Catholic Bishops meet in Dallas this week, they'll consider a proposal that expands the role of the laity. What do lay Catholics want? And how much power is the church hierarchy willing to give up?
