Robert Siegel talks about WorldCom with Scott Cleland, a telecommunications analyst and CEO of the Precursor Group, a research company based in Washington, D.C. Cleland says for years, WorldCom's strategy was to expand by buying up other telecom companies. When it could no longer do that, Cleland says, the company apparently resorted to "cooking the books."
