Roosevelt Letters

Host Bob Edwards highlights a new collection of letters and telegrams sent by average Americans to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The book, The People and the President: America's Conversation with FDR, was compiled by Cornelia and Lawrence Levine. Most of the correspondence in this feature comes from the months leading up to U.S. entry into World War II. Letter excerpts are read by actors and audio clips are from FDR Fireside Radio Chats.
