WorldCom HQ

A new round of layoffs began today at WorldCom, the troubled telecom company. About 17,000 employees are expected to lose their jobs. At the company's headquarters in Clinton, Miss., people once boasted about WorldCom, the state's only Fortune 500 company. Now many WorldCom workers and investors feel shocked and betrayed. Melanie Peeples reports.
