Lab Creates Synthetic Polio Virus
Scientists have managed to synthesize the polio virus in the laboratory using chemicals and a readout of the virus' genetic code. This means that even if stockpiles of a virus are eliminated, rogue scientists could generate new supplies. And that's another worry for anti-terrorism experts.
