One-hundred-forty years ago this summer, Mark Twain secured his first paid job as a writer. He reported for the Virginia City Territorial Enterprise in the Nevada Territory. Host Scott Simon marks the anniversary with Shelley Fisher Fishkin, a Twain scholar at the University of Texas.
