Hundreds of computer hackers assembled in New York over the weekend for the biannual HOPE (Hackers on Planet Earth) conference. They talked about media and people's access to it, low power radio, secure communications for democracy activists in repressive countries, and maintaining the individual's right to access in the face of the threat of corporate domination of the web. NPR's Rick Karr reports.
