The question of arming pilots with guns was one of several issues that came up as Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta faced a Senate committee today. Members of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee expressed concern about the cost and pace of keeping the flying public less vulnerable to terrorism.
