Art Market

Some investors looking outside the stock market for a place to put their money are finding the art world. NPR's Elizabeth Blair explores the complexities of art as an investment. She finds that safe bets take a lot of research and a sense of the contemporary art beat. Even then, some art collectors find it hard to part with favorite works regardless of their value.
