Mexico Middle Class

NPR's Gerry Hadden reports on Mexico's faltering middle class. Once the bastion of hope that helped bring Mexico's Vicente Fox into the presidency in 2000, the middle class is now suffering. Rampant job loss and a dip in purchasing power have crossed many middle-class Mexicans over into the rank's of the country's poorest. These conditions are feeding a volatile political atmosphere as Mexico goes into major legislative elections next year.
