NPR's Jackie Northam reports that yesterday the defense team for six men accused of aiding al Qaeda terrorist interests in the United States concluded two days of arguments. The attorneys tried to convince the judge that the men were model citizens and did not plan to flee the country. They said this has been an unusually long bail hearing, probably because of a heightened level of concern surrounding terrorism. The prosecution begins its counter-arguments today.
