Cheney & Halliburton

NPR's Allison Aubrey reports how a strategic merger hatched during a duck-hunting trip led to Vice President Richard Cheney's troubles with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC is investigating Halliburton — where Cheney was once the CEO. The company is now suspected of underestimating the costs of asbestos-related lawsuits against a company it acquired during Cheney's tenure.
