The Blank Slate

Host Liane Hansen speaks with cognitive thinker Stephen Pinker about his new book: The Blank Slate: the Modern Denial of Human Nature. (Viking Press) In it, Pinker argues that we place too much emphasis on environment as a determining factor of human nature, and that genetics have a quite profound influence on issues such as parenting, violence, morality, and gender equality.
