Solomon Burke, the 'King of Rock and Soul'

His velvet voice made him one of the most popular performers in the 1950s and '60s. And although his star faded somewhat in the 1970s, Solomon Burke continued to make records and tour. Today, the "King of Rock and Soul" has a new CD, Don't Give Up on Me. On Tuesday, NPR's Carline Watson profiles Solomon Burke for The Tavis Smiley Show.
