Pollution

In a dramatic demonstration that air pollution is a global problem, researchers have found that the Mediterranean Sea sits under a summertime cloud of dirty air that rivals the skies in major cities — some of it from as far away as Asia and North America. NPR's Richard Harris reports on the study published in Friday's edition of the journal Science.
