The Pentagon is sending Special Operations forces to the Philippines to go after the Muslim rebel group Abu Sayyaf. U.S. troops were in the Philippines last year to advise Philippine troops in counter-terror operations, but now U.S. forces will be on the front lines. NPR's Tom Gjelten reports.
