Commentator Trudy Rubin says as the United States tries to make a deal with Turkey to base ground troops there, it shouldn't honor Turkey's request to send its troops into the Kurdish territory of northern Iraq. She says Turkey is trying to keep Iraqi Kurds from establishing an independent state, so as to not give ideas to Turkey's own Kurdish population.
