Ride Among Three Joining Shuttle Investigation Panel

The head of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board asks NASA to appoint former astronaut Sally Ride, physicist and Nobel laureate Douglas Osheroff, and space-policy expert John Logsdon to the panel. Meanwhile, the board opens its first public hearing in its investigation into the Feb. 1 shuttle disaster. NPR's Richard Harris reports.
