Unemployment Up, Deficit Nears Record Level

The Labor Department's monthly unemployment report shows businesses shed more than 300,000 jobs in February. Meanwhile the Congressional Budget Office reports that the president's tax and spending plans will produce a near-record deficit of $287 billion. NPR's Jack Speer and NPR's Jim Zarroli report.
