Gang Rape Of Teenage Girl Devastates Community
So far, six suspects are in custody in connection with the brutal gang rape of a 15-year-old girl outside her high school and Richmond, Calif. The horrific crime, which happened during a homecoming dance, is compounded by police reports that nearly two dozen people witnessed the assault and did not report it.
Two members of the victim's high school community — student Norma Bautista and biology teacher Ronald Bremond — explain the town's reaction to the crime and outrage among community leaders.
