Police Repost Motorized Recliner From DWI On eBay
Police in Proctor, Minn., have had to start over with an online auction for a motorized recliner used by a man who pleaded guilty to driving it drunk. Authorities had to repost the chair after eBay notified them that it was not a La-Z-Boy brand as stated. It has been reposted as the "DWI Chair," which restarted a three-day auction.

STEVE INSKEEP, host:
Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep with an update on an outlaw chair.
A Minnesota man put a motor on his easy chair, and then police seized it after he was accused of driving drunk. Then the local police tried to auction the chair on eBay. Bids reached $43,000 before the chair was linked to another violation. The listing was inaccurate because it's not a La-Z-Boy, as advertised. Bidding has started all over again on what is now called the DWI chair.
It's MORNING EDITION.
