Born Sean Scolnick, Langhorne Slim fuses together folk music, country and blues, and has established himself as a hard-touring workhorse. Raised in Philly and based in Brooklyn, he's built his career up from the open-mic circuit to festival stages thanks to hard work, strong songwriting and the aid of a crack backing band, The War Eagles.

In 2004, Slim released his debut EP, Electric Love Letter, featuring his band The War Eagles. Fueled by simple yet eccentric lyrics, subtle melodies and a cinematic feel, his new Be Set Free demonstrates the savvy of a professional and the excitement and optimism of a newcomer.
