November 13, 2009 - Nashville-born singer-songwriter Will Hoge makes his third appearance on Mountain Stage since 2003, as he returns to touring in support of his latest album, The Wreckage. After a traffic accident forced Hoge off the road for the first time in 12 years, he emerged with his most introspective songs to date, while maintaining his gritty, roadhouse rock sound.
With the help of Adam Beard on bass, Devon Malone on steel guitar and Sigurdur Birkis on drums, Hoge performs three songs from The Wreckage, as well as "Dirty Little War" from 2007's Draw the Curtain. "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" was inspired by "falling back in love with rock 'n' roll," Hoge says.
