Houston Baptist had one of the worst weekends in women's college basketball history. The Huskies got hammered 104-35 by Duke on Friday, then got beat 109-30 by TCU on Sunday. Coach Todd Buchanan is not discouraged. He says losing that big was an "incredible" experience.

STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.

Let's start with the good news for the Houston Baptist Huskies. The women's college basketball team played Duke. Early on the Huskies led two - nothing. They did go on to lose 104-35. Then they played another game against Texas Christian and lost 109-30. Coach Todd Buchanan is not discouraged, saying he's building his young team toward a future NCAA tournament. He says losing that big was an incredible experience.

It's MORNING EDITION.
