China Raises Toll from Flu-Like Illness

Chinese officials more than double their estimate of people who've contracted a form of pneumonia known as SARS, or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. The new figures indicate the outbreak is ongoing in parts of the country. China has been slow to release information on SARS, hampering efforts to control the illness worldwide. NPR's Jon Hamilton reports.
