Obama Announces 30,000 More Troops For Afghanistan

President Obama said Tuesday that the 30,000 additional troops for Afghanistan will deploy in the first part of 2010. He said he had asked U.S. allies in Afghanistan to back the effort with more troops, warning that global security was at stake. The president said the additional troops will allow the U.S. and its allies to begin withdrawing troops in July 2011.
