Set List

  • "Pockets"
  • "Come Back Baby"
  • "It's Nobody's Fault but Mine"
  • "New Home"

Bluesman Eric Bibb's latest record, Booker's Guitar (due for release Jan. 26), was inspired by the opportunity he'd had to play a guitar owned by blues legend Booker White. The interaction with the instrument solidified Bibb's decision to make a record in honor of his love for Delta blues musicians such as White and Blind Willie Johnson.

In his fifth appearance on Mountain Stage since 2000, Bibb reveals some other influences, as he admits to swiping his arrangement of "Come Back Baby" from famed New York folk artist Dave Van Ronk. "Pockets," performed solo here, appears on his 2008 album Get Onboard. Bibb invites harmonica player Grant Dermondy to the stage for the final two songs, which will both appear on Booker's Guitar.

This is a repeat performance of Mountain Stage.
