Pentagon Seeks Relief from Environmental Regulations

The Bush administration asks Congress to exempt the Defense Department from major environmental laws. The Pentagon says the regulations — meant to protect endangered plants and animals — compromise military readiness. Hear NPR's Elizabeth Arnold.
