The Canadian duo Madison Violet — singer-songwriters Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac — made its first trip to West Virginia back in November for an appearance on Mountain Stage. The pair's third album, No Fool for Trying, has been a huge success in the band's native Canada, as well as overseas in the U.K. Since this taping, Madison Violet has won Vocal Group of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, and its album has been nominated for group recording of the year at the 2010 East Coast Music Awards in March.

After Madison Violet recorded its previous two albums in the U.K., No Fool for Trying is the duo's first to have been recorded in Canada. With banjo, mandolin and fiddle, its earthy tones take the pair in a new direction. Madison Violet will tour the U.K. in January and February, with a tour through Germany planned for March.

This is a repeat performance of Mountain Stage.
