Earlier this week, All Things Considered challenged three members of the Planet Money team to report a story in an hour.

Adam Davidson, Chana Joffe-Walt and Alex Blumberg were sent to the International Council of Shopping Centers conference in New York and told to bring back the best economics stories they could find.

Listeners then had the chance to listen to all the stories on the Planet Money blog and vote for the best.

The people have spoken: According to the poll, the winner of the 2nd annual "Iron Reporter" competition is Blumberg. In his story, Blumberg reveals the secrets to the success of the Five Guys burger chain despite the recession. Click "listen" above to hear his story.
