NPR's Jim Zarroli reports media mogul Rupert Murdoch is buying the chance to sell TV shows directly to viewers. It's beginning with his purchase of controlling shares of the company that owns DirecTV. DirecTV is the nation's largest satellite TV programmer. Murdoch is paying $6.6 billion dollars for shares of its owner, Hughes Electronics.
