Looking at Lynch's Hometown

Pfc. Jessica Lynch, the POW rescued in Iraq last week, is from a West Virginia farming community. The unemployment rate is 15 percent, and for many young people, the military is a path to success. The military also provides employment through one of the largest firms in the county — Mustang Survival Manufacturing — which makes survival gear used by soldiers. The jobs pay $5.40/hour, but there's a lot of pride in the work, and in the town as they prepare to welcome back Jessica Lynch. NPR's Noah Adams reports.
