Pentagon Downplays Scenes of Turmoil in Iraq

Military officials insist the presence of U.S. troops in Baghdad is helping restore order despite apparent chaos. And a brief but intense firefight Saturday shows U.S. forces still have work to do beyond security issues. But in a sign the air war is largely over, two U.S. aircraft carrier battle groups will soon leave the Persian Gulf. NPR's Scott Horsley reports.
