Host Bob Edwards discusses the conditions for transforming Iraq into a democracy with Fareed Zakaria, author of the new book, The Future of Freedom. Fareed says Iraq needs to build basic institutions, such as courts and a market economy; better distribute wealth from the oil industry; and develop effective power sharing among various regions and ethnic groups before democratic elections can be effective.
