Remembering 'Laff Box' Creator Charlie Douglass
The man behind TV's taped laughs and other sounds has died. Charlie Douglass invented the "Laff Box," which has been supplying taped audience reactions to TV shows since the 1950s. We pay tribute to Douglass, who died earlier this month, by adding laughs to some well-known public pronouncements that could have been enhanced by applying his device.
