Hollywood is hosting its annual "fight night" Sunday: It's the 82nd annual Academy Awards. It's a chance for the town to celebrate its most talented filmmakers, and this year Weekend Edition Saturday is hosting its own award category: Our Oscar for Most Annoying Music Man goes to Jim Nayder. He hosts The Annoying Music Show! on Chicago Public Radio, and he sat down with host Scott Simon to prove that talent on screen does not necessarily translate to talent on tape.
"Everyone talks about it," Nayder says of the Oscars, "and nobody talks about the Academy Award winners who sing lousy, and that's where we come to the rescue."
This year's show includes some screen legends whose star power abandoned them once the cameras stopped rolling and the microphones were switched on.
