English singer-songwriter Bobby Long has been writing keenly crafted pop songs since he was a teenager, and soon began attending university and performing at open-mic nights alongside future Twilight star Robert Pattinson. That connection paid off, as Long was chosen to perform a song with Pattinson for the film series' first soundtrack. Click the link above to hear Long perform live in concert from WXPN and World Cafe Live in Philadelphia.

Long spent much of 2009 touring in the U.S. and Canada, where he sold copies of his bedroom recording Dirty Pond Songs at shows. A studio-recorded follow-up arrives this summer — between now and then, he'll make his debut at the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas — so expect him to showcase some of his new material at this show.
