New Frontiers in Wireless Energy Transfer

An MIT researcher has figured out how to light up a 60-watt bulb from 7 feet away — without wires. He thinks he might be onto a way that laptops and cell phones could recharge themselves. MIT graduate student Andre Kurs discusses the potential uses for wireless energy transfer.
