Oakland, Calif.-based journalist Chauncey Bailey was gunned down on his way to work last week. Now police believe he was killed for investigating a local business.

A longtime colleague of Bailey's, Martin Reynolds — managing editor at the Oakland Tribune — remembers his life and work.
