Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has announced he will not attend a peace conference in Afghanistan Thursday. Afghan president Hamid Karzai and tribal delegates will be there to talk about settling differences and trying to control the Taliban along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. Pakistani journalist Ahmed Rashid talks with Alex Chadwick.
