We can already tell that the rest of Glee's first season is going to be fall-down ridiculous. Rachel's got a new Broadway-ready boy toy from the rival glee club Vocal Adrenaline, Sue Sylvester's reign of terror will rampage on even though she's been sacked (also, this amazing thing) and Brittany continues to get the best lines ("Did you know dolphins are just gay sharks?"). Hilariously enough, when we asked you what songs you wanted to hear on Glee, we had no idea that one of them ("Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order) would already sort of come true, at least in the plot (thanks, Annabelle Nunez).

So now that we have some basic story lines going (Broadway-ready boy toy, Ms. Pillsbury's romance-blocking but very real-deal OCD, Mr. Schuester's wok-ready and product-heavy hair, Finn discovering his "rock star"), let's get some more song suggestions to pass along to Glee creator Ryan Murphy. We've highlighted some of our favorite reader suggestions below.

Cover for Garden Party

Rick Nelson

  • Song: Garden Party
  • from Garden Party

"Garden Party" by Rick Nelson and the Stone Canyon Band would be great if sung by Kurt after he's rejected in some way. His incredible vocals and obvious sensitivity would be perfect delivering the message: "You can't please everyone so you've got to please yourself." --Beth Williams

Danzig and the cheerleading coach could croon "Skulls" and provide a watchable moment. --Natahan Rosiejka

Cover for The Kink Kronikles

The Kinks

  • Song: Mindless Child of Motherhood
  • from The Kink Kronikles

I think the more serious catalog of The Kinks deserves some Glee love. Many of their songs are well suited to choral harmonies and great renditions of their popular classics ("Tired of Waiting," "Rosie Won't You Please Come Home," "Sunny Afternoon," etc.), but I would truly die happy if Puck would sing "Mindless Child of Motherhood" to Quinn. --Margaret Allstrom

Cover for Voices

Hall & Oates

  • Song: You Make My Dreams
  • from Voices

I would love to see Hall & Oates' "You Make My Dreams" a la 500 Days of Summer. I am afraid that because it was in 500 Days of Summer, they might not do it. I think they should Gleek it up and make a newer, fresh version. --Shaun Abels [Ed note: Frankly, this is the kind of song we're surprised Mr. Schue hasn't yet made the Glee kids begrudgingly sing.]

New Directions is back for their second season. They go through their day of school, after a somewhat disgruntling practice. Schue leaves the auditorium hand in hand with Emma, and our favorite Glee clubbers are left to roam the halls, together, in harmony. What do they do? Of course they perform an astounding rendition of "Thriller." Nothing gets you more excited, whether you like the song or not. --Morgan Stier [Ed. note: If they dress Finn in drag like those prisoners did in the Philippines, you might be onto something.]
