U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell meets with Israel's foreign minister as he begins a brief Middle East tour to promote a U.S. "road map" for peace in the region. He will meet Sunday with Israeli Prime Minister Sharon and the new Palestinian prime minister, Mahmoud Abbas. He will not meet with Yasser Arafat. NPR's Michele Kelemen reports.
