Powell Seeks Support from Leaders of Egypt, Jordan

Secretary of State Colin Powell heads to Egypt and Jordan to seek Arab support for a U.S.-backed Mideast peace plan and for Palestinian reform. Meeting separately with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday, Powell urges the leaders to move forward toward the plan that would create an independent Palestinian state by 2005.
