Brian Miller is the Lightning Bug Situation
The Lightning Bug Situation is the nom de plume of San Francisco guitarist and songwriter Brian Miller. When not playing in his main band, The Speakers, Miller's records atmospheric and intimate songs from home.
His latest album, A Leaf; A Stream is an intensely personal collection of pop songs about the birth of his daughter mixed. The tunes are interspersed with musical interludes featuring the voices of his immediate family.
"...Me vs. Coldplay" features an impressive mix of live horns and strings, authentic Chris Martin piano and various electronics. Miller's soft vocal emerges out of bit-crushed loops and recognizable piano licks.
